FLYING HIGH
Paradise Developments’ Brampton project is the people’s choice

Offering homeowners the best of both worlds made for a compelling pitch for this year’s OHBA People’s Choice Award winner. Featuring traditional freehold townhomes from the mid-$600,000s, Paradise Developments’ High Point project, located on the southeast corner of Mississauga Road and Mayfield Road in Brampton’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, is designed around a large natural heritage channel and 243 acres of greenspace. At the same time, the community provides easy access to highways 401, 403 and 407.

“High Point combines urban living with a life in nature—and is doing it better than any other planned community in GTA—from parks to schools to magnificent homes, to a duck-filled pond that doubles as storm water management solution,” says Kelly Ryan, V.P. and partner at Kelly Design, whose firm was responsible for branding and promoting the project. “The location of the schools ensures residents have a choice of education institutions within walking distance of home. All commercial retailers have been placed to promote walkability, meaning no resident is less than a 10-minute walk from shopping.”

IDEAL LOCATION

It’s also ideally placed for those hoping to get around without their own vehicle, notes Ryan. “We wanted to ensure that our location was convenient for commuters, with less than a 1-km distance to access transit.” The community already includes one place of worship and is located close to several other facilities catering to a variety of religious backgrounds.

High Point’s marketing included an informative email campaign with its large database in advance of the preview opening in order to draw interest, educate homebuyers and keep the preview opening top of mind.

But the homes have also sold themselves. Offered in a variety of sizes and styles, these heritage-inspired designs are appointed with features ranging from gourmet kitchens and spacious family rooms to extra-height vanities in the master ensuite.
